Mhm finished this finally. I haven’t had much time to watch this lately so I’m glad to finish it finally.. I’ll write a bit about it.

First some facts as alyways, made by J.C. Staff (and Sentai Filmworks..?) 2010, so it’s pretty new actually. Had 26 episodes + I watched a special too.

What should I say about this.. So this is a love story, genres include romance and comedy which, most of the time, make me run away and never look back butbut I was suggested this by anonymus so I watched it anyway. And from some people I had heard it’s a good one so I took the challenge >: 3

And well. The story itself isn’t that awesome. This is actually pretty typical shoujo, even to the point it was so funny I laughed aloud. I usually don’t like characters that can’t accept their feelings and Misaki wasn’t exeption, luckily she didn’t go to that stage where she hits Usui, she just insults him all the time which was annoying too, but not that much compared to.. well, characters that hit the one they love. It’s just.. wrong..

About the ending, I was partly happy and partly didn’t like it. The end is pretty open, and in the end nothing happened at all, so it was pretty pointless. Especially with the special which just made me feel more sad about how open the end was..

Characters were okay. Nothing special.

Butbut. Let’s talk about the art next. I actually kinda liked it. Backgrounds were cute. The coloring was even something “watercolorish” which looked good. Sadly they didn’t use same kind of coloring for characters, and they looked pretty normal which was boring. It would have stood out better but no. Also, the usage of white characters looked annoying since they used it so much. Like, when trying to look like there were a lot of people but then got too lazy to draw school uniforms to all of them and then just.. Drawing white people. Yeah. But the art was nice on it’s own way, backgrounds were really good.

Voice actors did good job, though it was somewhat boring to spot all the same voice actors on some random people on the background or some characters as children than one of the friends of Misaki :”D I understand, saving money is good but.. Meh.. But. In general everyone did good job. About music, sometimes I didn’t know what should I feel about the scene since the music was kinda happy, but then the feeling itself on the scene was kinda gloomy. They used that one song so many times. In every situation where something was happening.

So messy thoughts..! Even when I point out a lot of things I didn’t like I actually thought this was on it’s own way a good show and with MAL scoring I gave 7 which means good. Foe special 6, fine, since it was pretty pointless and I would have lost nothing if I didn’t watch it. But this is something people who like shoujo, nice but pretty typical art and also typical comedy should see.
