Anonymous said: I'm sorry to bother you... But what anime has the best animation (not art) and what has the worse animation?

Oh.. Hmm.. Let’s see..

I have to open my MAL to remind me :”D

This is purely based on what I consider good and beutiful ok? But well. At first, for the best ones, I’d love to say FLCL. I think the animation on it is really awesome, also really pleasant to watch. It’s very smooth, and, for example, the fighting scenes are really great and lots of stuff happens there if you’re just fast enough to see them! For these reasons I’d also like to mention Dead Leaves, the animation in both of them is very similar.

Also I’d like to mention various works by Shaft, for example Hidamari Sketch, Natsu no Arashi and Arakawa Under the Bridge. I know it’s somewhat derpy at times, but most of the time I think it’s nice to watch. I like those style changes and those fast changes of angles etc. Not everyone likes that but I do since not many studios are doing something a bit different like that.

Also, of course, I have to mention studio Ghibli. I’m a Ghibli fan and there’s really no denying it, their animation is always stunning! They have been making better animation like, 30 years ago, than some studios do today. I’ve been a fan of Ghibli ever since I was little so I have just grown to love their works. And their animation is great.

Without longer reasoning I’d like to mention Kaiba, Kuuchuu Buranko, Summer Wars, Tekkon Kinkreet and movies by Satoshi Kon.

Okay… Then, to the worse ones

I don’t want to write so much about these but I’ll name a few.

First, I have to mention a series called Lamune (sometimes also Ramune). The animation was so horrible I sometimes laughed aloud because of it.

For same reason, I’ll mention Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. It looked horrible. I’m serious. Here’s the opening of the series, it’s not the worst ok the series itself is even mor awful but anyway.

Also, of course, some works by Studio Deen. I just. Well, I’ll just mention for example Fruits Basket, which has, really, just horrible animation. Just horrible. And they ruined the series in every other way the could too so yeah. Also, I’ll name some series like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Hetalia and Nurarihyon no Mago. I admit that they have some pretty entertaining series too, like Kore wa Zombie desu ka?, but I can’t say the animation is great.

That’s propably it, hope you are pleased now anon (〃^∇^)ノ

//oops, a long post : d

Haha.. Sorry for being silent for so long guys..

I got an idea for this textpost from a friend, who recently called me a hypocrite for telling people to watch some good anime when I myself watch tons of shitty animes. I just got a feeling that it would be nice to write down about how I view anime, and well, kinda “my reasons” for watching some series.
